IV Antibiotic Treatment + Resources
Mon Aug 10, 2009

From patients within the Toronto/GTA Lyme Support Group, we have collected the following resources to hopefully help you with your treatment which for most... will be once or twice a day.

Once IV antibiotic treatment has been prescribed, the attending Physician will send a referral through to CCAC (Community Care Access Centres) who will co-ordinate with calea HomeCare the ordering of your antibiotics and either in-home care nursing or make arrangements for any of the NEW clinics referred to as a "FAST Centre" (Fast Access to Supportive Treatment).

This 2nd option allows those who are more mobile quick / easy daily treatments by knowledgeable Nursing staff employed by CCAC.  At present we only have the directions for the downtown clinic (listed below) but know that there are clinics located throughout the city:

Newmarket
Keele Street
Dunn Street
Grace Hospital
South Riverdale
CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind)
Etobicoke Westburn Mannor

Downtown:
FAST Centre - GRACE
(Salvation Army Hospital)
650 Church Street (entrance via Parking Lot)
Toronto, ON     M4Y 2G5

Location:  1-block East of the Bloor/Yonge Subway Station.  Reduced rate Parking available on-site and is accessible from either Bloor or Church Street.  Parking ticket MUST be verified by switchboard staff.
